According to reports from Metro, Everton striker Romelu Lukaku is reportedly ready to hand in a transfer request in order to force a move to his former club Chelsea.
Report states that Lukaku feels he has some unfinished business left at Stamford Bridge and he is itching to work with Antonio Conte.
Despite Lukaku’s lofty transfer fee, Chelsea are keen to push for a deal only if the player is keen to quit Goodison Park this summer.
London Evening Standard are confident of seeing Lukaku depart from Merseyside in favor of a move to Chelsea. Blues may have signed Michy Batshuyai for £32m but are still uncertain over Diego Costa’s future.
That is where Conte sees Lukaku as the ideal fit who scored 25 goals in total last season. The Belgian international is valued at staggering £75m by Everton but Blues are confident of wrapping up the deal for £67m.
Chances of Lukaku signing for Chelsea – 3/5
Seems as if the unfinished business is the trend this summer. Alvaro Morata and Mario Gotze have already moved back to their former clubs while Paul Pogba and now Lukaku are tiped to do the same.
News of him submitting a transfer request has shifted the odds ever so slightly in Chelsea’s favors of signing their number one striker target this summer.
