Thomas Muller could well be on his way to Manchester United after being frustrated at not playing regular football for Bayern Munich this season.
New manager Carlo Ancelotti has admitted that he does not see Muller playing a key role in his setup and the German international will have to earn his place in the starting XI.
Muller was not pleased with those comments and was yet again dropped for Bayern’s last game against Leipzig.
Highlighting his frustration, Muller came out and said: “The last game against Leipzig was not optimal for me personally, since I did not play.
“There was more space than in the games before. It was a game I could have enjoyed.
“Of course, I’m not sitting there with a grin on the bench.”
Manchester United have often been linked with a move for the German forward and it has seemed like an unsaid statement that if Muller was to ever leave Allianz Arena, he would come to Old Trafford.
Although Bayern officials now hate Man United for their treatment of Bastian Schweinsteiger but Jose Mourinho could be lining up a move for Thomas Muller next summer.
Chances of United signing Muller – 3/5
Manchester United are certainly not cash bound to think twice before splashing big money to sign Muller and if the German does decide to make a move, Mourinho and Man United will be more than happy to oblige to his wish.
