Arsene Wenger believes he has won the race to sign Schalke left back Sead Kolasinac, reports Daily Star.
The Gunners boss appears to have beaten off competition from AC Milan and Everton to sign the 23-year-old Bosnia and Herzegovina international.
Kolasinac has been offered a four-year contract, can play left wing back and is seen as the club’s long term first choice.
Wenger spoke about Arsenal’s transfer plans in his pre-match presser last night and said: “I think it’s important we don’t talk about transfers but about the semi-final of the FA Cup on Sunday.”
Kolasinac is expected to trigger a line of summer arrivals for Arsenal including Barcelona’s Arda Turan, who is linked with a 25m move to The Emirates.
Chelsea were also in the race to sign Kolasinac this summer but Arsenal are edging closer to signing the Bosnian international on a free transfer.
Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is not pleased with losing out on his key summer target, especially given the fact Kolasinac could have been signed on a free transfer.
