Celtic is hoping to complete a loan deal for Australia midfielder Daniel Arzani. The 19-year-old is set to move permanently to Manchester City from partner club Melbourne City and is then expected to join the Scottish champions on a temporary basis.

Manager Brendan Rodgers has revealed the club are “working hard in terms of trying to get the quality we need in” before the transfer window slams shut.

Celtic boss Rodgers also insists Odsonne Edouard is worth every penny of his club-record £9million transfer fee after the former Paris Saint-Germain player bagged two goals in Wednesday’s Champions League qualifying victory over Rosenborg.
