Done Deal – Olivier Ntcham signs new deal with Celtic

Scottish Premier League club Celtic have announced to the public that midfielder Olivier Ntcham has penned a fresh four year contract with the reigning Scottish League Champions. This commits him to the club until 2022.

The French midfielder, who has been sidelined due to injury in recent weeks, was spotted at Celtic Park on Friday to sign the dotted lines and in doing so, the midfielder commit himself to the club of ‘Young Lions’ that former Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers is building into a brilliant and exciting side.

NTcham told the clubs official television channel – Celtic TV that he is delighted to extend his contract.

He said penning a new deal is good news and hopes he can win more honours. The midfielder described the side as a great club and stated how happy he is to be part of the club’s project.

The excited NTcham also stressed the importance of maintaining a strong bond with his colleagues, which is what currently keeps the team going.

The 22-year-old loves life at the club and dreams of winning more laurels with his teammates and even surpass their achievement of last season. 

He spoke about his personal ambition which is to further improve his game, including scoring more goals.

The midfielder was the subject of transfer enquiry from Portuguese giant FC Porto last summer but his Scottish side reportedly rejected their bid and now the fans will be happy that the Frenchman has extended his deal and will remain a member of the squad at least for the foreseeable future.

The midfield maestro started the Betfred Cup last-four match at Murrayfield against Hearts but was pulled out at half time due to feeling a slight discomfort in his hamstring. The player is edging closer to full match fitness once again and could play a part in Sunday’s game when the Bhoys travel to West Lothian to lock horns with Livingston on their plastic pitch.
